Why Rewire

You're not the problem. Your tools are.

Screen-time apps keep treating you like a kid with no self-control. Rewire treats you like an adult who deserves better tools — and builds them around how your brain actually works.

Science, not shame.

Built on behavioral psychology and the habit loop. No red warnings, no guilt bells, no weekly reports that make you feel bad. Just tools that respect how your brain works.

Made for you, not at you.

A thoughtful onboarding that learns your triggers, your why, your 3-month goal. Rewire adapts to your life — not a one-size-fits-all template built for someone else.

Way more than a blocker.

Quick blocks. Recurring schedules. Daily limits. Multiple live at once. Insights that make patterns obvious. A streak that rewards awareness — not perfection.

Features

Small tools. Big shifts.

Every feature exists for one reason — giving you back hours of your day. No bloat, no gimmicks, no "pro tier upsells" buried in a menu.

01 — Quick block

Focus in two taps.

Pomodoro. Gym hour. Study sprint. Pick a time, pick the apps, go. Ends itself when the timer does. No dashboards, no drama.

02 — Schedule

Set it once. Forget it.

Sleep 10 PM to 7 AM. Deep work every weekday. Rewire handles the rest, forever.

03 — Limit

06 — Unique

Run multiple blocks at once.

Sleep + Deep Work + Instagram limit — all live at the same time. A competitor's blind spot. Your unfair advantage.

07 — Shield

A pause, not a punishment.

Blocked apps show a soft reminder of your why — and when you get them back. No red screens. No shame.

The flow

Four gentle steps to get your time back.

A careful, considered flow designed around real human behavior. No engagement loops, no dark patterns, no tricks to get you to "open the app one more time."

01
Onboard intentionally.
A thoughtful 5-minute setup that actually asks why you're here. Your triggers, your hopes, your 3-month goal. No rushed funnel, no dark patterns.
02
Build your blocks.
Quick blocks for focus. Schedules for routine. Daily limits for the apps that don't know when to stop. Stack them, mix them — they all play nice.
03
Notice the patterns.
Insights surface what Apple's Screen Time never did: trigger apps, peak hours, comparison to past weeks. Awareness first. Action second.
04
Get your life back.
Fewer pickups. More presence. The hours stop disappearing. You stop wondering where they went. That's the whole point.
Insights

Data that actually means something.

Numbers without context are noise. Rewire frames your screen time in ways that make the signal obvious — and the next step clear.

The Rewire pledge
I'm taking my attention back. Not through force. Through awareness.

Real people, getting their time back.

Rewire is the first screen-time app that didn't make me feel like a failure. The little brain guy just sits there and supports me. I'm oddly attached.

Seeing "96 pickups" on my own phone was the wake-up call. Two weeks later I'm down to 41. No screaming motivational quotes — just me, noticing.

Running Sleep + Work focus + an Instagram limit all at once, all the time — this is the feature I didn't know I'd been waiting for.

I've tried Opal, Jomo, Apple's Screen Time. Rewire is the first one still on my phone past week one.

The onboarding nearly made me cry. For once, an app that asked me why — not just what.

Questions

The real questions.

How does Rewire actually work?
Rewire uses Apple's Screen Time framework to block apps at the OS level. When a block is active, the chosen apps show a gentle shield screen until the block ends. No hacks, no jailbreaking — the same secure system Apple designed for Screen Time, with a much friendlier interface on top.
How much does it cost?
Rewire starts with a free trial so you can feel if it clicks. After that it's a small monthly or annual subscription — fair, transparent pricing. No ads, no dark patterns, no "we accidentally charged you" stories. Cancel anytime in Settings, keep what you've built for the rest of the billing period.
Can I break my own blocks?
Yes — you're an adult. Rewire is a tool, not a jailer. You can end any block early. But the tiny bit of friction is enough to make you pause and ask yourself if you really need to. Nine times out of ten, the answer is no, and you close the app. That's the whole design.
How is this different from Apple Screen Time?
Apple Screen Time shows you numbers. Rewire helps you change. On top of the same APIs, we add a guided onboarding that asks *why* you're here, let you run multiple blocks at once (Screen Time can't), surface the patterns Screen Time hides, and wrap it all in something you'll actually open every day. We didn't invent blocking. We made it feel human.
Is my data private?
Your screen-time data never leaves your phone. Rewire uses Apple's on-device Screen Time framework — everything is processed locally. We don't have servers that see what apps you use or when. No tracking, no ads, no sharing. Your patterns are yours. Full stop.
Why does it need Screen Time permission?
Apple requires any app that blocks other apps to request Screen Time (Family Controls) permission. It's the same permission Apple's own Screen Time uses. Granting it lets Rewire read usage and set blocks — nothing more. You can revoke it anytime from iOS Settings.
Will it drain my battery?
Rewire runs on Apple's native background framework, which is designed to be battery-efficient. Most users see zero measurable impact. If you ever do, it's usually a setup issue we can fix in a minute — tap Support in the app and we'll jump in.
What apps can I block?
Nearly every third-party app, plus websites in Safari. Apple restricts blocking of Phone, Settings, and a handful of system apps — this is an OS-level rule that applies to every screen-time app, including Apple's own. We can't bypass it. Everything else is fair game.
How do I delete everything?
Settings → Delete My Data wipes your streak, history, blocks, and preferences instantly and returns you to onboarding. Your data lived on your device to begin with, so "delete" really means delete. To cancel a paid subscription, head to iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Your time
is waiting.
